“I started guitar lessons here a couple of months ago. The space is lovely and in a safe environment, the teachers are great. Finn is very patient and takes his time in lessons. I cannot recommend the place enough.”

Questions about guitar lessons
Do you teach complete guitar beginners?
Yes. Complete beginners are welcome, as are returning and more experienced players. Your tutor starts from what you can already do and what you want to play.
Can I learn acoustic or electric guitar?
Yes. First Chord teaches both acoustic and electric guitar. Tell us which you are interested in when you book so we can match you with the right tutor.
Are guitar lessons for adults as well as children?
Yes. We teach children, teenagers and adults, including people picking up a guitar for the first time later in life.
Do I have to take guitar grades?
No. Grades are optional. Rockschool or Trinity work can be included when it supports your goals, but lessons can focus entirely on songs, musicianship, creativity and enjoyment.
