Useful things to know

Ukulele lesson questions

Are ukulele lessons good for complete beginners?

Yes. The ukulele offers an accessible first step into music, and lessons build good rhythm, technique and listening from the start.

Do you teach ukulele to adults and children?

Yes. Individual lessons are available for children, teenagers and adults.

Do I need my own ukulele?

Having an instrument for regular practice is important. If you need advice about a suitable first ukulele, ask the team before buying.

What is the difference between lessons and the Ukulele Orchestra?

Individual lessons are tailored one-to-one tuition. The Ukulele Orchestra is a separate adult group focused on playing and developing together in a social setting.

Will I learn more than chord shapes?

Yes. Chords are only part of the picture. Lessons can also include rhythm, melody, listening, theory, arrangement and creative musicianship.
